One concrete route within Thrivent Generosity is Action Teams: member-led volunteer service, education or fundraising projects can receive a kit and up to $250 in seed money.
You’ll need
An eligible member applies through their Thrivent account and reports afterward. Benefit members can lead up to two projects per calendar year; associate members one.
Our note: Identify an already-eligible member and check the project terms before planning; this panel does not establish eligibility for other Thrivent programs.
Thrivent explicitly warns against buying or retaining insurance or annuities just to obtain this benefit.
Watch for
Only a Thrivent client with membership can apply and must actively lead the project; minimum age is 16. Projects cannot benefit the leader or immediate family, combine multiple kits into one initiative, or simply donate the impact card to an organization.
Not confirmed: a required match or the applicant’s membership cost. The $250 is restricted project seed money, not an unrestricted church grant.
Member-led project eligibility, seed-money rules and application path reviewed; not a full review of every Thrivent generosity program.
